The Florida Manatee

Name: _________________________Group:________________Date:____________

The Florida Manatee
The Florida manatee is a big animal that lives in the warm water. Some people say that it looks like a cow. They have flippers and a tail to help them swim. Manatees only eat plants. Wow, that is so cool! These friendly animals can swim in the water, but they need to stick their nose out of the water to breathe.
These large mammals are endangered. That means that there are not many manatees left on Earth. Manatees get hurt by boats. We must save them! Manatees are one of my favorite animals. How about you?
